This is the time in the church year when we enter the season of Lent. It is a time when we reflect on our sinful situation we all have and hear about what our Savior-God has done for us, and all the world, to make us right with our heavenly Father. We meditate on the passion obedience, what sinful man did to Jesus, in order to pay for the guilt of our sins by being our substitute with his sufferings and dying on the cross to satisfy our heavenly Father’s justice for our rebellion against him.
The season of Lent comes to an end when after Jesus’ death and burial, our heavenly Father showed his satisfaction of the sacrifice his Son made for sinful mankind by raising him from the dead early Easter morning. With that work of salvation Jesus carried out, our heavenly Father announced to the world, and to you personally in his Word that our verdict of our sins is “NOT GUILTY.”
Come and join us during the Lenten season and joyfully praise our loving and merciful God who has given us eternal life through his Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.
God bless you and we hope to see you soon.
